I used to really enjoy industrial fire fighting training. Went twice a year for about 15 years when I filled the roll of Fire Captain in the ExxonMobil Chemical plant , where I retired. It was the real fires I responded to that scared me. Texas A & M has a really good school. That was how I used to roll. By the way, College Station has a Super Walmart.

Bought a 7 1/2 lb. rib eye roast for Christmas day once again, we do that every year at this time for the family that comes over. $6.49 a pound at Rouses until tomorrow. Not a bad price for prime. A coating with mustard, butter, fresh herbs, as well as red and green pepper corns will coat top once again before it goes to the heat low and slow. Tell the butcher how you want it cut and trimmed, don't wonder around like you're at Walmart and buy one placed on a Styrofoam platter - the cost is the same.

Thanks JR. Not part of their curriculum, above and beyond. They have a hard enough time maintaining 21 hours a semester to graduate in four years. I offer four certifications as well as four industry facility tours (NOV, Baker Hughes, Franks, Knight Oil Tools, Halliburton, etc.) each semester to get them ready. The kids line up, and there is always a waiting list for all of this. I flat tear this up.

Ann just completed the NOLA Lab Rescue Winter 2017 newsletter. Guidry's Animal Hospital (Tal's clinic) always contributes an article, and Kirk (Redge) is a big supporter for our group. Thought I'd share.

Daughter and grandson came out this afternoon. Son in law in the Gulf working. Cookies were made while listening to Perry Como Christmas music.

They'll back tomorrow bright and early in the morning for Christmas. Busy day tomorrow with friends coming over as well. Excellent time of year.

Tonight, at midnight, all animals have the gift of human speech.

"It was the Yuletide, that men call Christmas though they know in their hearts it is older than Bethlehem and Babylon, older than Memphis and mankind."
    - H.P. Lovecraft

They might tell you something you'd rather not know - not mine, can't wait to hear what they have say.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

I'm familiar. Did you know that two dachshunds can fill a king size bed?
