Made a sausage and chicken gumbo for Ann on her birthday. Had to use the Nessie ladle for this:

That Nessie ladle is way too cool from the word go.

Ann buys special dog food from Chewey off the internet. I put such paper items in the large burning pit I have. While at it, picked up a bunch of small branches laying around to fill the box before throwing it out there. As some of you folks know, labs love sticks. Ernie was concerned:

My wife makes some stuff (don't know if she calls it gumbo) that looks just like that. And it is great.
