Guess he didn't plan to use it for crappie structure.

By the way they beat up on a small team from Monroe today. That makes them bowl eligible. Now they can thump their chest and feel good. lol.
Guess they won't ask him to coach the bowl game. haha Sumlin was kept too long.

Hey Randy, just so you know, I am an A&M fan and have been since I went to their fire training academy several times. Have a few "diplomas" from their. Good little town and very nice campus. Excellent fajitos and margaritas(so I heard. haha) I will be pulling for them hard next year except when they play LSU and the Vols .

The parish put up a new sign on the Vermilion river bridge next to my driveway today - I like. I noticed such signs crossing the Vermilion in the Lafayette city limits. Several, so I make my calls. Us in the rural environment care as well upriver from Lafayette. Sending email to folks gets you no where, talk to folks on the phone. Done deal:

The Bayou Vermilion District tends to the debris along the river where I live. A large barge comes along with a crane and picks up downed trees , etc. Enjoy talking to the fellas. They push the trash south into Vermilion parish. What they do with it there - haven't a clue.

I know folks like going fishing and hunting on private property, but when you do - care for the environment.

Mercy - it's duck and goose weather for sure right now. Winds at 15 mph out of the North, raining steady, and temps in the mid 30°'s.

When I mean duck and goose weather, that means duck under the covers (with the electric blanket turned on) and goose your sweetie with cold toes

My son in Atlanta is getting snow. None here or expected in central SC. Cold rain all day though.

Speaking of duck and goose weather, my oldest son sent me pictures of their duck hunting yesterday in Michigan

I do admire his dedication to his passion

Reminds me of when I was young.

Thank God he stopped by to pick up a portable heater first.

That looks cold! Crappie fishing in that weather yes, duck hunting probably not. As you stated all about your passion.

A long weekend for me. The IADC well control certification is completed for this semester:

They're ready to go, and I drive them hard. I flat tear this up with the kids. That's the way to roll.
