Maps look good. Ky Lake South. However, I have KY Hydrographics maps and am using Ozie moving maps. Far superior to anything Navionics has in my area. I don't do the intense mapping you do, but will be trying out Dr. Depth this summer. I'll be calling on ya.

I am using SI with troll grid. Works good. Just filling in the shallow blanks that Ky Hydrographics left out due to depth limitations of the tow fish. Also keeping KY Hydro honest! Verifying his stuff.

You'd love the stuff I'm working on right now for Oahe. Its on the order of 2ft resolution, horizontally that is, not vertically. Vertically your looking at a 6 inch resolution. Some thing like four or five hundred +/- 20 mb files. Its so detailed you can see where the old roads that are out of the water right now were, down to the ditches on each side. You can pick out small erosion washes along the current shore. It picked up the gravel parking pads in Indian Creek campground out side Mobridge. This covers down to 25 to 30 feet below normal pool. Now if the lake would just get enough run off to fill back up it'll be great.

PS. I think Navionics released a new hi def map for Kentucky Lake.

When you capture images and save to the SD card then bring the SD card to the computer can you place the card into your digital camera and then load it into the computer through your digital camera software? Just trying to get an idea of how to load it from point A to point B.

I think you could but thats too much work. I just use my card reader or you could use one of those little card readers that aren't much more than the USB port and SD card.

NVB is currently not upgradeable. So when/if Navionics or whoever comes out with a better contour map of lakes you fish, The only way to get that new map in the unit is Via a sd card!

Pretty neat ain't it Frank, especially when ya hook it up at your desk instead of in the boat. I knew you would figure it out.

I see a lot of side imaging screenshots with 100' on either side of the boat.
    Is this adjustable?
To my extremely uneducated eye it looks to me like if you try to look too far out in shallow water that your sonar shadows will eventually get in the way.
