Default 2012 Okie crappie.com tournament schedule

Eufaula Boy, Crappie George, Ranger 09, Winger, and myself met tonight and set our dates for our 2012 crappie tournaments. We will be posting more details in the coming weeks, but wanted to get the dates out so everyone can start making plans. What we have decided for sure is, there will be 4 regular tournaments and a Classic at the end. To be eliglble for the Classic you must fish at least 2 of the regular tournaments. Cost for each regular tournament will be $50 per team, including $10 for big fish. Dates are set for all 5 tournaments. Locations for the 4 regular tournaments are set, with the Classic location TBD at a later date. All locations and dates will of course be subject to change, if we have a SIGNIFICANT weather issue such as high water. Get these on your calendars and tell your crappie fishing buddies. We are excited about this and hope several choose to participate.

Way to go guys, the schedule looks great. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great time. We're so overdue on enjoying something like this. I've always envied the other states with similar events like this. Guess it just took some great guys to get this thing off the ground. Thanks guys, and if you need any help just holler.

I have been PM'ed by several of you and we know that not all the dates can and will fit with all of our busy schedules. Not even ours and its not required as Doug said to fish them all to be quailfied to fish our first Okie Classic (TBD). We want everyone interested to fish them and have a great time. Its not about the money and competition but about the sharing of techinques, friendships, laughs, knowledge, pats on the back, and last but not least our love for Crappie fishing. I have been asked about the rules, well these will be coming in a few weeks we just wanted to get this message out to see what feedback and interest we can expect. As Doug said we are excited about this oppurtunity for Oklahoma Crappie Fisherman to meet and have a great time......Ranger

I hope several of you are interested in fishing all of these or at least fishing 2 of them. We have some great prizes in mind for the classic, you don't want to miss it. In addition to the competiton and prize money we will be giving away prizes at each tournament just for participating. We want to make this fun and make it a great chance to meet other crappie fishermen. We will also learn different techniques and get a chance to fish lakes that maybe we don't know. I personally have only fished Ft. Gibson 4-5 times with most of them from the bank in the spring and have fished Tenkiller only 3-4 times since 1988. I am looking foward to the challenge of these 2 lakes as well as meeting more of you. I hope you will strongly consider joining us. Please give us an idea of how many of you are interested and please tell all your crappie fishing friends who aren't on crappie.com. If this goes over well this year we are going to make it an every year deal and maybe even expand it.

I don't know if I can make it to any of the tourny events, but I would certaintly enjoy participating if I can make it. Living in OKC, Eufaula is the closest lake, but the other three lakes are over 150 miles from the house. That makes for one long day especially with the 630am pre-registration. I've never fished Ft. Gibson, Tenkiller, or Oolagah, but I hear those are some of the best lakes in the state for crappie fishing.

Cuz... am sure if you contacted Odie or EB and you wanted to fish any of these there could be some kind of arrangments made with mailed in fees and so on before hand so the early drive would be made easier on the OKC boys. Just a thought but I strongly believe doable..Ranger
