The ramps were still frozen at 5 pm today. I don't think you can launch. If you don't live too far way you may want to come and look. Unless it is thinner than I think it is, I'm not trying it yet. I will go check again in the am.

    Default ice on Oologah

I just got back from Sunnyside ramp and the ice is still thick, probably 3 inches. I don't think there will be any launching a boat here for several more days. I guess I'm gonna have to go south.

Odie, thanks for the heads up on the ramps yesterday. We ended up going out to Grand and fishing at the Red Arrow marina dock. I was very impressed, they have put alot of improvements into the restaurant and the docks here. We ended up catching 9 keepers and several little ones in about 3 hours. The word has gotten out because there were quite a few people fishing there.

Hawthorned is still froze too. Even if a guy could lunch a boat, he couldn't go anywhere.

Does anyone know if there is ice around the ramp below the dam?

I drove down there last week and it looked like you wouldn't have any trouble.

    Default Oologah dam

Went down to the dam and talked to several of the regulars. They said it had been slow. 5 guys had 12 keepers in about 4 hours of fishing off the boat ramp. I saw 2 caught down by the creek on north side. The boat ramp is open for anyone wanting to put in. Hope I to get to go later this week. I'll post the report if I do.
