My Corps buddy says the Blue Creek area was packed over the weekend.
I caught 30 last night mostly females and ready to exlpode with eggs. Still in 3 foot of water next to bank. Not as big as the night before but still good size.
Went to Spencer creek last night with a friend and caught 8 nice ones in 3-4 fow fishing minnows 2 ft deep. first time out in a while so we were both pleased but now we have caught the bug and can't wait to get back up there. left uneasy as we had 5 get off right by the bank. largest was 14" full of eggs.

Just finished cleaning a limit of crappie, caught from the Winganon Bridge area. sitting in 9' of water, fishing 5 to 6' deep. Others are wading and catching lots of males, and the occasional female. Some very nice fish.

We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing."
I spent last night in the Talala Creek area. I spent the night and was sitting next to a beaver hut next to the bank. Bite was a steady 3-4 fish an hour, 6-7 am was red hot one pole fishing. I figured I had close to a limit and didn't want to go over so I headed for the ramp around 7:30. Vada point ramp was already overflowing with trucks and trailers. I had to wait behind 4 just to load. Once back at the house I transfered the fish to an ice chest to hold for cleaning later. I counted 29. If I would have known the amount I had, it would have been no problem to fish until a limit was caught. No biggie though, I have plenty of fish. All were caught on minnows about 2.5' below a bobber. Avoid the crowds, do it at night! I caught 4 around 2lb mark and a couple that were pushing 2.5. If I catch one worthy of a picture, I'll snap one for you all.

Sounds like you Oologah folks are cashing in. Hope all the rain the guru's are predicting don't mess it up for you. Good reports!
I was one of those longpole wader fishermen Gamblinman must have seen fishing the Winganon riprap. Oh was that ever fun! We brought home 71 nice ones; 2 of the nicer ones were caught by my son on his first longpole fishing excursion, and these fat sows were 17 inchers! Most we caught were males, but an occasional pig kept things very exciting! 3 feet of water seemed to be the hotspot and we used nothing but some of my hand tied jigs. What a great day of fishing fun!
The lake is down almost 2' from where it was on Sunday morning. I was catching them then and after the drop. Maybe if we're lucky, the Corp won't let it get too much water and the good fishing will continue. It's a very rare year for Oologah fishermen as the lake levels have not had the yo-yo effect yet allowing for a decent spawn season.....so far.
