Current level is 633.23 at 0500 this morning. We got hammered pretty good last night in the entire watershed so suspect it will all end up in Texoma.
They have not let any water out yet as Shreveport can't handle anymore. Website says no schedule in the forseeable future to release any water. Bottom line is if this keeps up, no telling how high it will get.
CORRECTION: went back and looked at the website and it now says they are releasing 19 cfs. I know the inflow as 93,000 cfs a coupld of days ago so this doesn't make much sense to me.

Doesn't make sense to me either, Bob. I think I used to be able to pee 19 cfs.

Let me just say it's what we call our house units. We have to run them all the time for our electricity for the plant. These are small generating units to supply our power for the powerhouse and the project office. And now you know the rest of the story. All I'm allowed to say about this. Hope I shed a little light on this for you.

Thanks for the inside info, I learn something on here everyday! Thought I'd pass on a link to where I get my info on Texoma. It seems to get updated every morning at 5 am. Went by Newberry Creek yesterday and found the boat ramp is closed. Johnson Creek is also. Not sure what ramps are open right now.
The intake dropped yesterday but, we had some pretty heavy rains in the watershed last night. We are only a little less than 4' from going over the dam and the lake is rising!

Texoma will go over the spillway sometime this weekend. Suspect all ramps will be closed, if not already. Sure doesn't look good for this long holiday weekend!

Texoma went over the spillway last night.
It's currently just a few inches, not 4' like in the 90's.

Drove over the I-35/Red River bridge yesterday afternoon. Pretty amazing sight to see. When you are used to seeing a little stream trickle somewhere in the middle of what looks like a desert and then see it way out of it's banks on both sides it makes you appreciate how much water we are getting. And, makes me wonder what would happen if that bridge collapsed or they had to shut it down? The world as we know it down here would pretty much come to a grinding halt!
