What are they letting out of Texoma currently? Looks like they might have to slow it down a bit because of downsteam flooding in La and possible more rain on the way.

If I'm reading it right, water is still 15" deep going out of the spillway.

As of right now, the lake is at 640.77' (4am this morning). The spillway is at 640.00. So no more water over the spillway!
They are releasing 60,000 cfs and have no plans to change the gates today. What I don't know is if the 60,000 includes what is going over the spillway or is that just what is going out of the gates? Either way, that is a LOT less water than has been entering the Red from Texoma for at least the past month.
You planning on coming down Reaper?????
I doubt any ramps will be open for at least a couple of weeks but, you might be able to launch from one of the submerged roads...I'm serious.

I believe 60,000 includes the spillway. With all gates open I seem to recall it's around 45,100 CFS.

Well, Texoma fell to the top of the spillway yesterday at 1 PM according to the 6 pm news. So, at least its contained and the inflow is almost stopped. From what I hear, all ramps and marinas are closed and under water and will be for a while. If we get more rain this weekend, only God knows what will happen.
Sonnyboy drove over to the south dyke yesterday morning. The 'old oil field' is under water and they are frantically pumping it out but, expect it to take till mid next week. Seems to me it's still too soon to tell when things will stabilize down here.
We did hit Lake Murray Tuesday morning. Murray is just below the top of the spillway. Water is stained but, not bad. I hooked a good size drum but, that was the only bite we had all morning. But, I've never had much luck on Murray.
Guess we'll hit some of the smaller lakes down here till we can get back on Texoma again.

I'm sure everyone has heard what has been going on with tropical storm Bill. The I-35 corridor was hit pretty hard especially around Ardmore. And, most rain falling in this part of the state will eventually make it into Texoma. I don't know how much rain we got but, I had 2" in my rain gauge Sunday and Tuesday it was over the top at 6" and had been for awhile. I'm guessing in the 10-12" range. But, it's over now.
Lake Murry is about 3' over the spillway. Texoma is over the spillway since early this morning. Predicted to crest at 3 to 4' over spillway next week. Inflow is over 200,000cfs and outflow is only about 40,000cfs. Now thats a bunch of water folks.
Heard a Corp spokesperson say that IF we don't get any more rain, it will be mid August before we get back to normal.
I-35 is closed and there is talk about closing the Red River Bridge due to debris around the piers. I doubt that will happen. No idea when I-35 will reopen but, suspect soon.
Wasita River is expected to crest at all time new record level.
Still have lots of road closures in the area so check before you make the drive down here.
Goes without saying, Texoma is effectively closed, if not officially.

Roosevelt bridge across Lake Texoma is closed once again. Second time this spring. Storm Bill left enough water to take Texoma over the spillway and is still rising this morning. Currently 643.10' above spillway and rising. Could set another record before it crests. Wa****a and Red are setting new flood records. I-35 and Hwy 69/75 are in danger of shutting down traffic in both directison. Plus, a rock slide in the Arbuckles has only one north bound lane open and all south bound traffic is being rerouted to old Hwy 77 around Turner Falls.
I believe the Wachita has crested but, the Red has not yet. One bridge on the Wa****a was lost and others are closed.
The good news is that there is no more rain in the immediate forecast. I heard that if we don't get more rain, Texoma may get back down to normal by mid August.
Lake Murray is 3' over the spillway and the marina is closed.
I believe all marinas and ramps on Texoma are still closed.

Decided to try Ardmore City Lake this morning. Four of us in two boats started a little after 6 am. Tried several brushpiles, fish attractors and moss beds and had one crappie between us. Got rained on a little and wind was out of the south gusting.
Would love to try Texoma but, there isn't a ramp open anywhere on the lake and won't be for at least 6 weeks....probably in Sept if we don't get anymore rain.
