Since putting my boat in the new marina last Tuesday, May 10th, I have fished 5 days and caught fish all 5 days! Nothing large but alot in the 8-10" range. All in my slip with most being in the 4-7 ft range except for yesterday when I caught most of them huggin the bottom. When I got out there Saturday evening, I counted 36 people fishing from the bank and saw several catching some.

I fished yesterday and fished real hard to catch a keeper.I was in my tube fishing marina area, hit every brush pile and other structure that I have been catching fish on and struggled to catch 11 from 9-11 inches long.My opinion on the spawn is that it is about over.I have been catching good limits since the week before Easter in this area. You can still catch a lot of small crappie from the bank in this area but if I didnt have a boat I would go to Little Axe boat ramp and fish off the new covered fishing dock. Also Lake has come up about 2-3 Ft. since the rain.West end is real muddy, east end is pretty clear for t-bird for now.I am sure it will muddy up before its all over. Good Luck And Good Fishing!See Ya At T-Bird. Ronnie

So if the spawn is over, where will one go to continue catching them?

Structure in a little deeper water. I'd start by fishing anything in 10 foot of water. Look for brush piles or standing timber. They will hold on this structure the rest of the year so once you start catching them, you should be able to go back all summer long. The key is to find structure in various depths so that as the thermocline shifts, you'll have structure in the correct dept to catch them. This is how I do it on my home lake and let me tell you, I catch far more fish in the summer than I do in the spring.

Meatdragger said it all. I don't make it a point to fish when they are shallow. Find some water atleast 15' or more with some standing timber and you can catch them all summer long.

I haven't been out to T-Bird in the last month. Has there been any activity at T-Bird?
