awesome grubby we had a little luck in the marina area on friday
i have a couple of smaller ones that we hooked in the gills so instead of throwing them back to die i figured id eat them too. we caught a lot of smaller ones in the slips but once you had your fun with them the bigger ones started hitting we use minnows and them stated jigging and had a blast
My first time to post, I live in Moore but generally go to Eufalua to fish as I have a moblehome there with a boatslip. with the cost of getting there and getting back, I'm thinking Thunderbird might solve that cost problem when I want to crappie fish
I'm looking for a boat slip to bait for crappie fishing. Which dock would you recommend?
It's been my experence that some docks are better suited to hold crappie than others reguardless of how much has been done to draw in the crappie. Could you offer any advise? Thanks in advance for your help --KLS
congrats nate d....sounds like you are well on your way to figuring this whole crappie thing out....awesome.....we cleaned around 80 last week...most females with an average of a pound and a half.....keep doing what you are doing.....if you don't find them in one spot....keep looking!!!!!!......Good Luck!
fished twin bridges wednesday and caught 77, then tried the dam for the first time saturday and caught 96(3 and 1/2 hrs), morning, afternoon, evening the bite is really on. now is definitely the time to get out there. have a boat but with my first grader its just easier from the bank, so anyone can do it. I have used this site for a couple of years to monitor the spawn, you guys seem pretty nice so I felt I should contribute. Thanks for the past info...hope to be a regular poster.
Welcome aboard soonerx!

lazylake yeah we are still learning and finding new places. in the past we have hit the brush piles and had really great luck there but this year with the lake being so low we had to search out new places i want to try and get up to hog creek and we almost went up there but the wind on friday and the fact we got pretty sun burnt. we may try to get up that way this weekend
i knew i should have tried the rip rap on the dam yesterday. o well. the wife and i kept busy with all the dinks around the marina. still fun no matter the size
