All good beagle! But you can't fix stupid or aholes! Just don't let them ruin your day, fishing is fun...not work!!!!
Around the corner, and well to be blunt so are the crazies. blocking the ramps, there are some things to do to help the new to spawn fishermen/women make an easier transition from un loading a boat to parking the truck/car so when you get to your favorite spot and two or three are blocking the ramp, be nice. the fish will still be there and your only going to be a few min. late. be nice.
there are a few things to do to help the process along.
get your boat rigged in a staging area,
have your buddy If you are not alone back you in then get out of the way
do not visit while sitting at the launch
be nice.
any other advice to the new fishers?

Barry I was sitting at C.C. one morning late about 9 or so, had gotten the boat ready in the upper parking lot, pulled down and made the turn to get the boat ready to back down, parked the truck to get my rope out to launch, got back in the truck and this guy pulls in beside me and right off says, You know Buddy if you would not park in the loading ramp I could launch a lot better, you idiots make me sick. always in the way (true story). I just looked at him a second, did the unthinkable, and pulled up, got out of his way, he backed in, dropped off his rig, and was at the dock in like 2 mi. or less, then he stared at me while I eased my boat down the ramp, un loaded same, tied rope to rock , drove up the hill parked the truck, hobbled back down and he came over and said guess I own you an apology, I said no. But you owe your Mother one.

I pretty much leave the month of April to all to the bank beaters......... I had one one time ask me why I came into the cove after seeing him in there fishing the banks, big enough cove for 6 or 8 boats but it was all his...... these morons ain't worth my getting worked up over, since this is the only time they are smart enough to catch a few crappie...... haven't fished the banks in 20 years..... I always catch much nicer and bigger fish working out deeper and trees...... used to love watching a crappie hit a cork about 18" deep but the folks just ruined it for my wife and I.....I have the other 11 months to fish.........
A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
I did see a tree with a Crown bag on it,was that your tree? It's just not the spawn time, last weekend stoped and got boat ready in lot pulled up to ramp and other were two boats parked and unloading but they had their spot reserved when they were ready to launch. The only time I was really peeved (well not only) launching on a gravel ramp and a guy was cleaning his fish with his truck and his boat hooked up while still on the ramp and his boat was halfway in the water.

I thought fishing taught one patience. Guess it does not apply at boat ramp, when I launch by myself I run into some people who would be better off offering assistence rather than showing their lack of patience. Not often but once in awhile.
It's a shame so many so called fishermen think that someone fishing from the bank is a second class fisherman. I choose to walk the bank frequently in April, why drag my boat out and deal with people at the boat ramp if I can catch a mess in an hour or so off the bank. If I had a dollar for every person that has pulled up an started fishing the same bed or dock as me or my kids after they see us catch a few, I'd be buying that new Humminbird 1199 I've been looking at.
I've learned to avoid the crazies one of two ways either get up early and beat them to the ramp, or fish at nighttime and get on the water as all of them are leaving.

Pomme guy you took my post wrong, I wasn't talking about someone walking the banks, I was talking about a guy in his boat wanting the whole cove to himself...... I usually end up giving my fish to a bank fisherman if he wants them...and you are right I consider myself a fisherman.....
