I use a piece of braid tied between the tip and first eye. I first tie the braid to the tip, then put the braid through the hole in the plastic bead. pull it to the center of the eyes and tie a single not then run the braid back through the bead. Then I tie the other end of the braid to the first eye, leaving enough slack for the bead to dance around. I think the slack is important. Then you simply run you main line through the hole in the bead and through the tip and your done. You will hear little ticks that you can't even see. It sure increased my set ratios. I said glass beads earlier and meant plastic and I do like the larger ones. Another tip is it seems to work a little better if you run your poles with your eyes in the up position. The look of the braid through the bead and tied not keeps the bead in the center of the eyes and allows for more movement of the bead. I hope this helps. I will try to post a picture later. I'm headed to Grenada this morning and will be there till next Sunday. Gonna be like fishing in the ocean....

I have been using the bead for about five years . Always between 1and2 eye . Will try 2 and 3 now .
I never heard of this and would like a picture also. The description mb4850 gave is very good. May have to give it a try.

I use the red plastic beads and just run the mainline thru it. The less I have to do to make it work, the better I like it. Having it between the 2nd and 3rd eye takes some of the bend in the pole out of the mix.
