In Arkansas I would have to say either peckerwood or Conway, ever since I went to Mississippi I love fishing Arkabutkla, always catch a fish 2 pounds n over
Philippians 4; 13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
"Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing"
Now why do I like that sayin ...
"Teach a man to fish = he can feed himself "
"Teach the world to fish = you won't have any fish left to eat "
Sorry, but look at weigh in results for Ill. Crappie tournies are won with a 1 pound average and bass with a 3 pound average. I was just asking, never had heard of 3 pounders in Ill. or Ohio for that matter. The shorter growing season and extreme winters. I come from an area where we catch 6+pounders on most bass fishing ventures and most adult bass fishermen don't really bat an eye unless a fish is over 10. I just was asking, sorry I offended anyone.
Saw one weighed at an tournament at East Fork in Ohio at 2.98; saw a picture of a shocked crappie out of Salt Fork that weighed over 4. State record in Ohio for both white and black is over 3 (I think they're over 4). They're rare, but they're in the midwest, including ILL.
they are mostly in "private lakes or farm ponds"..... below is Indiana DNR record for crappie
Crappie 4 lb. 11 oz. Private lake,
