I took it as the best opportunities for a 3 pound fish. Not where they can be caught, most lakes hold one. The lake I normally fish has had many caught over 3, usually one or two a year up until the last 2 years. I would not reccomend it as a high opportunity for catching a 3 pounder. Mississippi, has an abundance. So, in these economic times spend your money in Mississippi.

Toledo Bend has 3 pound crappie, I have caught a good many 17" and a little over that. The last few years they have been hard to come by just because of changes like the drought and Hydrilla loss from that as well as the SRA trying to control it some over did it. Things are getting back to normal though it seems.
you want a 3lb black crappie or white crappie or don't you care?
This is an awesome one too. It is at the Bas Pro Shop in Leeds Alabama.
