I would like to try it sometime, but I know in order to create a market it would have to be done under a different name. I've mentioned it around guys at work and they turn their nose up to thought of eating "Carp".

Kentucky Blue Snapper is one of the names being used by one of the processors.

The Vietnamese owned company in Ledbetter markets them as "Kentucky Blue Snapper" -

I'll have to remember that.

"Kentucky White Fish" sold by the processor in Wickliffe.

Agreed I saw a show on TV about how they raise the tilapia. There is still some in my freezer and I ain't eatin it.

Several in the Ky Lake area know Darrel Van Vactor ...and that he had attended some meetings a few years ago taking about the Asian carp ...

Can we start thinking about how we may be able to use Darrel in the discussion ...to see if he may have some resources or information ... ??

Maybe someone who knows him well can invite him the Ky Lake Shindig in October ...??
