Hey everyone, I'm new to crappie.com but not new to crappie fishing. I heard about this site through my father-in-law (armyman). I'm a 23 year military guy and still in. Looking forward to reading and replying to post. Thanks!
Thank you guys, I have a question, hope someone can give me some advice. I live by ( 3 miles ) and fish a 12 acre Game and fish lake they stock catfish in summer and trout in winter. I just happened on to catching some crappie last Dec and Jan. The lake would be considered a shallow lake 4-10 foot except by the spillway where it is around 15 ft. I caught the small crappie ( 6-8 in ) in Dec and Jan by the spillway fishing about 4 ft deep using live maggots. Since then I can't find or catch any crappie where have they gone? The water is muddy now because of all the rain, how can I find and catch them. I know the lake is full of crappie and some big ones also, I caught one that weighed 3 pounds and a friend of mine caught one that weighed over 4 pounds. I have used minnows, jigs and even the maggots but not finding them around the spillway or fishing dock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A fella can have a lot worse addictions then being on Crappie.com. I am happy to have found this site and have a chance to share and receive information on a sport I so dearly love. Ha
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
