I'm gonna hit the lake Thursday. Hopefully not so much traffic during the week. Haven't ever fished blue mountain but have always heard it was a good crappie lake

Fella told me bout it 4 or 5 years ago. I didn't pay to much attention cause it was a good drive. Y'all start snatching 3's out and I'll be on my way! Anyway nice story and really nice fish! Good job!

I fished at Blue Mountain on Monday Feb 29 and only got 10. Was at the ramp by 8:15 and got the last parking space. I was there nine days before on a Saturday at 8:30 at had to launch at an overflow ramp and park trailer out in the grass coz the parking spots at both ramps at Waveland Park were full. I watched a bunch of boats and trailers circling around and giving up. Im sure there are other ramps, but I bet they were full too.

The fish catching has slowed down considerably from what I could see and conversations I had at the fish cleaning station....NOT everyone is getting limits from my experience.

Boat traffic was still very high and a lot of people fishing on Monday. I would say way more than 30 boats on the dam end of the lake.

I honestly don't know that was my first time ever being on the lake. I'm going to say as low as it is , a person can catch fish all over it esp with the water temps on the rise

Low.....? I don't know how long it's been since you've been there but it's high right now with all the rain, 4 ft into flood control. This lake was designed to keep the small towns from flooding so any rain at all will raise it overnight.
