My buddy is out there today and they have been doing pretty good on the striper and whites over by Pebble beach on slabs.

We went to cypress cove ajjacks and caught some white bass on live minnows right by that big sand/gravel bar with the brush pile and long pole sticking up. Then went to the dam. My son Justin locked into something Justin a live minnow and it broke his line. Never saw the fish but his pole was bent over like a willow tree. Anyway it broke his line, he learned a good lesson on setting the drag. From there we went to fish the docks at Red's cove, and I caught a 13" black bass. We always catch bass in front of Red's cove. We had fun and will be back on the lake soon. Thanks for the info.

I'm going to try to get out this sunday. Lake is 23 feet down and still falling. A favorite piece of structure will be comming into play soon. The white bass are starting to head up the river channel. troll for them from Thousand Trails Campground, up to the mouth of the river. Good luck

thanks ajjacks. I might check that out. You have to be very careful going into the back of elm creek cove right now. There are some large rocks that are just right under the surface now. Real boat killers.

I finally made it out last weekend. The lake is 24 feet low and tree tops are starting to emerge out in the main lake bed. I caught 6 pretty nice ones. This is one of my favorite holes but, it is usually too wind swept for me and the tree I tie up to is just starting to emerge.

    Good Job PapaS

We were out there on the 19th and did not do well. It was pretty windy but the Champion boat handled it well. My fishing partner was back out there last Monday and caught about 14 stripers up in Elm. We've been launching from Reds since the new ramp connects with their old ramp and it is easy to launch from there now.

Fished Medina south of Pops place today. Originially looking for white bass but didn't catch any. But I had a good surprise when I got into the crappie. Kept 11, threw back 5. The 11 I kept were all 11 inches or better with a couple 14 and 13 inches. Very nice fish. Just finished cleaning them. The egg sacks are small, so it looks like a little while to they spawn. You would never guess what the majority of them had in their stomachs. Looked like helgramites. Or some other larva. They were about an inch long. I'll post pics soon.
