Thread: Just a head's up for the Toledo Bend gathering in February

Can't wait to do it again this coming FEBRUARY. Good fellowship, good fishing, and exceptional food. You won't meet a stranger at this gathering, maybe some strange folks but hey the price is right. lol Come on over and enjoy everyone. Ferdi

Fredi after this year they decided to hold off a little longer next year to make sure winter is over, LOL! It should be a lot better actually and for sure the spawn will be on. Look on the La. board to see new dates, I don't remember right now.

Everyone knows it was "SLAB'S" fault for the winter weather. hehehe I will be glad to see the time moved to the end of FEB like they had been trying to do. I think it will allow for a bigger gathering at the spring camp on Toledo Bend and maybe a few more from the TEXAS side will follow the trail and make it an even bigger get together for all folks to enjoy and eventually include some folks passing on lessons to help on locating and fishing to help folks out some. I know lots of stuff was passed around at the get together but classes couldn't hurt. Just a thought, with or without it will be a fun family time get together. Can't wait. Ferdi

Thanks Ferdi, big fun for sure. Too bad Connie didn't try the alligator, the folks tore that up . I guess I'll be doing that again. You Texas folks need to join us - right across the Pendleton River bridge. The SRA (Sabine River Authority) San Miguel campground is nice, cabins remodeled, affordable, we rent a nice lodge to hold plenty of folks, etc. Sure would enjoy if more of you Texas folks would join us. It's okay if there aren't any Aggies coming over, I probably talk enough trash to make up the difference of a few . Details in September.

You surely won't be disappointed Chuck if you can make it, prepare for some good times and seeing the faces that go along with the names. Definitely good folks for sure. Ferdi

Its a lot of fun and like Ferdi said get to put a lot of faces to the names and meet a lot of great people! I have been the last 2 years and not only me enjoyed it, but my wife also really had a good time!

Sound like something Deborah and I should try to make. Would really like to meet a few of you.
