I was at the boat ramp Hwy 19 in Riverside this morning the Trinity River is up about 2 ft, the water color is like chocolae milk and flowing full of trash and brush. I drove over the FM 980 bridge over Harmon Creek, first creek north of the Hwy 19 ramp the water was up and brown like the river. Then I went to Bethy Creek the first creek south of the Hwy 19 ramp the water was clear (for Livingston) I could see down about 12-14", I was backing down the ramp to launch my boat and I got a call about a friend who was stuck in the National Forest so left to help him. No one was fishing in Bethy the only people fishing was 5 people fishing for cat fish at the Hwy 19 ramp. If I were going fish I would go to Carolina Creek or Bethy. I mainly fish in White Rock Creek or Kickapoo. The last time I was fishing we caught fish on the bottom in 12 ft of water. I would check Texas Fishing Forum; Crappie page for some local lakes info. Hope this helps.
