I have had 123 skin cancers and 3 melanomas removed- Interferon injections are pure hell.
Been fishing for many years and many more before CDC was formed. Always thought I was bulletproof and never used sun block lotion or shirts or wide brim hats. I'm 66 now and going thru radiation treatment for skin cancer. Have started wearing the long sleeve shirts, mask, and long bill cap. so if your young or old I'd like to share this advice to everyone. Good fishing to all.

TC .... I'm 71 and have had 12 Squamous Cell Carcinomas removed from my arms (couple years ago), so I understand where you're coming from.
I now wear 100SPF sunscreen ... UV blocker sleeves ... Sun Gloves ... wide brim Boonie hat ---- or I just don't fish during the heat of the day. (I also have white face buffs handy) I also have the ability to put up a umbrella, if/when necessary, for added protection from the Sun (as shown in this picture).

Part of my fishing arsenal, just as my rods and reels and boat are. Wide brim straw hat, long sleeves, and buffs. I'm looking for a reasonable pair of gloves. If anyone knows of a good source, by all means, let me know.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6tenncrappie thanked you for this post
Under armour makes a light glove that has rubber grips on the palms. They are tuff and can be throwed in the washer.Check the hunting section.
