I personally aim for 2.1-2.3. Dont do well slower (but still catch a few), and the catching drops off significantly if I go faster.

Thanks Joe and Pete! We will try these speeds the next time we go. Just needed to confirm what the rate of speed to use. I think we were far enough out behind the boat. Because I dropped back 20 feet or so after no hits at first. That's when we started to get bit more. Thanks again!
I pull Pete's rigs about 2.2 or 2.3. I run them way back most of the time. I can still get below 20 feet if I let out enough line. I usually run 1/4 oz jigs on the outside arms and either 3/4 or 1 oz bucktails on the center to give me about 2 oz of weight.

You all are a big help, thank you! When we go we will try your style of fishing and adjust what we can to succeed. I got the A rigs Pete makes and matched with some of cutbaits swim baits along with Striper Sniper baits plus 1/4 oz. jig heads. We are in the ball park but want to get better results. Maybe our speed is off from what you'll said. Hope to correct it and move on. THANKS !!
Oh and I have plenty of buck tails 1/2 to 1 oz. I'll change out to!
I plan to! We caught 14 and threw back a few short one's. We just didn't hit the right speed and depth at first. We can adjust now that we know we weren't all that wrong in what we were doing. Confidence will be better the next time we go. Thanks, I always like learning from the pro's.
