    Default Are there any places known for giant bluegill?


    Just curious if there are any places know for big bluegill like the big 4 are known for crappie! Looking to plan a trip with my kids and get them on some nice beds holding some large fish this spring!

    If up to 2# bluegills are big enough, then there's a place in west Alabama that is fantastic fishing. I can only take one person with me when I go, though.

    Lake Perris in California is world renowned for giant copper nose bluegill. It is a public lake. Also Lake Havasu has giant shell cracker......red ear.

    yea I would like be to catch those big 2#ers but I'm looking for a place I can take the wife and three kids lol

    I bet yawl got some spots right in your area with toad bream ......you are located in a great place for big bream ....ask the local folks , I bet someone has a spot for them
