Thread: Are there any places known for giant bluegill?

There's world-class bluegill fishing in west Alabama. I fish for them every week... you can too.

I definitely will west Alabama is only a few hours drive. I'm located like 45 minutes away from Mobile

What water in west Alabama are you talking about? Any GPS coordinates you want to share?

I think if you electroshocked your favorite bluegill water, you'd be amazed at the big gills that turn up. They spend most of their lives in deeper water and die of old age without ever seeing a hook.

I've caught some nice gills here in south Mississippi. Just looking for a new place to travel to with the kids. They love going to new destinations!

The only way to get this info is to go fishing with me. It's private fishing... not public. But, it's a bass and bluegill paradise. (or I would be going somewhere else).


I must say... fishing is fishing, some days they chase down a lure, and other days its slower. Overall, it's real good or I would head to a better place.

A local private lake that I fish just stocked some Georgia Giants. Can't wait to get one of those on. Otherwise mostly small to medium around here.
