Crappie.com has introduced most all of us to each other and we've been able to develop very good friendships because of this. I would have never met Doug other than cursing him for throwing me off anchor when he buzzes by. He's a great guy and am blessed to know him. I can't remember if I introduced Whisperer to the forum or not, but had the pleasure of meeting him on the water. Another great guy! Anyone who lives away from Oologah, I would not know but have made some good friendships through C.C. I'll meet members on the water while fishing, like Crappie Hog and Meat Dragger. Two more great guys! Boss Hog drives out of his way to deliver cinder blocks for the brush drop, never met him before, but another great guy!
Eufaula is a long way from my place and I rarely go down there, but am glad I did for the meetings that were put on by Crappie.com members.
Rules for the tourney were posted prior to them taking place. Classic at Eufaula by one vote is pretty close. I expect that the friendships and members of Crappie.com will only get bigger in time.
I might suggest that the next series might consider participation in one tournament would qualify for the Classic. It could make for a bigger field. Perhaps starting this series at Eufaula for the Classic and making the rounds of the other lakes in the future for the Classic.
Bottom line is that no one involved is making any money and Ranger09 (Mark) has invested his personal time and money to drive down to secure the building for the fish fry and hoping to recoup some of his money by taking donations at the fry. I don't think any of the organizers have won any of the tourneys, yet have spent their time organizing the events. Even though I couldn't make any of the tourneys, I'd like to thank them for their work. There's a certain amount of cost involved in fishing period, the tourneys if interested are simply a get together of friends haveing fun. No whiners allowed!
