In all fairness, I named that boat the USS-POS because regardless of where I went, it was never going to win a popularity contest. But since I launched that boat after bringing it back from the dead, I promise you, it boated more Crappie than most of the high dollar boats that passed by her. A lot of people are more into driving their rigs than actually taking the time to check out all the different areas that can hold Crappie. We've all seen the type, zoom this way, 15 minutes later, zoom that way. It can replay several times in a day. My livewell lid on the POS usually remained open so I could chunk em in there from the front seat. It was usually open at the ramp. Other boats would look over a lot of times and just start hitting me up with 20 questions about where, how deep, what color and so on. Then they'd see the touch 9 or my old HDS 8 that Josh has and be in shock that I'd have such fine electronics.

I would always tell them that for me, the electronics were the most important part of the boat, thus deserved the most money invested. I really never needed a big motor in the POS as many times I'd use the trolling motor most of the day. Not zooming all around, but concentrating on finding the Crappie that I knew were somewhere close to my current position.

    DON"T BE A ZOOMER!

Enjoy your time with her Scott!

    I sure did!

The whole house is up! Usually it's my quiet time when I get to get lost in my own insanity. But this morning we're all nutz!
