Finely received my new fuel line for my pontoon boat and was so excited after installing it that I just had to take it for a test drive. Boat started and ran good for one minute then died and would not start again. After examining I found that the new hose terminal end that connected to the motor would not make an air tight seal. Leaks gas all around the connection. I had the old fuel line and its pump ball still in the truck so I quickly swapped fuel lines. The boat started right up so I figure I just bought a factory defective hose for $59.00. Then I noticed no water coming out of the port so I trailer the boat and went home and ordered an impeller. I guess it's no fishing till after the holiday.
Anybody know how far south the mud line is in Texoma?
Holiday weekend so no fishing for me. Texoma has come up 4' in the last 10 days resulting in a muddy Texoma. In lieu of fishing I have been making some fishing rods for a couple of friends and one for me. I am a little rod poor . Here is the start of a 2 piece 9' St Croix crappie rod for a fishing buddy.
Glueing on the rear grip and laying out the guide spacing is all I have finished so far. I guess I did find the spline on the blank pieces also.
Another 45 hours of effort and the St Croix will be done . You can't rush the best rod money can buy. Can't turn a profit either
