Most of the fish I released I had to deflate their air bladder after bringing them up that deep for them to survive. The few I did not deflate became eagle food which was entertaining watching eagles picking up fish that close to my boat. A rare sight.
Several have asked about purchasing spoons from me. The spoons I make are like the rods I make. I have so much time in making them that they would be overpriced. I would have to charge at least $5.00 a piece for a spoon which seems pricy to me and there is no guarantee that others would have the same results I get. When finished I have 5 coats of vinyl paint on them and that is dipped not sprayed, not to mention getting the glitter on them or hand trimming the excess paint off the ends before installing the terminal tackle on them. Given this, I have done an internet search for a similar product and found this alternative. While they are not what I make and may or may not get the same they appear to be made from the same mold and are much cheaper.
If anyone still wants some of mine I will accommodate.
Good info, Wrangler.
I timed how long it takes to trim the paint and place the hardware on one of thes spoons. The pic show spoon assembly from left to right in steps. There is 8 minutes to turn out one not counting pouring the lead and 5 coats of paint. I don't think it is possible to mass produce these to sell and make a profit. Fortunately I don't do this for an income.

Some are born with brains others with good looks. I never figured out where I fit till today when I somehow managed to send a pm to myself. I am going to claim by accident that way I don't feel like a serious retard.

I was had hoped I would finish the first 100 today but I am not going to make it. I bag them individually to protect the finish not to sell them. I have never sold a single one to date. So far I have about 20 hours in making 100 and I'm not finished yet. I made and sold custom fishing rods for decades but the lures have always been for personal use only. The offer to sell a few was only because so many had asked. For the time I have in them even at $5.00 a piece I can't make money at it. It is closer to charity work. They are hand made not mass produced. This is not a pitch to sell them I don't need the money just an explanation of what goes into making them. I have just described the time here but the materials cost have not been mentioned. This is how hobbies work. You can only recover cost, a profit never happens. Hopefully this is not considered offensive. I didn't want anyone to think I was using the site to hock my wares.
