Any recent luck on Carl Blackwell from the dock? What depth are the hitting at and what times?
Cost for boats are $8.00 per day or $80.00 for yearly permit. Most the launches are good when the water level is normal or close to normal. I cant say which one is the best, i usually launch from a private launch on the lake. The boat traffic in summer is pretty bad in the summer. A lot of boats, pwc and disrespectful operators. The coves or west end is not that bad. Saugeye is okay. There are some good ones in there but seems to be a lot more 15-17" fish then anything.

We were up there Tuesday. Nobody was tearing them up, but we got a number of small (6-9 inches) fish, plus perch. We did get an 11 incher. They hit hair jigs (gray/pink), hot chicken, and monkey milk. Fish were at all depths on the dock, from 5-20 ft. And there were some right next to the rocks on the bank. We fished from 4 to 8:30.
Just my opinion, take it or leave it...... But if you are keeping the 3 and 4 inch crappie please stop! I was at the dock yesterday from 630 to 930am and no kidding 3 people were keeping 3 inch crappie.... Why not let them go to hopefully grow, sure you can argue over population but that certainly does not apply to LCB. Just think about it please !

Got out and fished LCB for a while this evening in the boat. I will say the fish are not shallow. I caught all my fish on structure fishing 12-15' down in 17-20' of water. Several good fish this evening with BF being just over 14". Lots of 12" fish. A few 13" and a ton of 8-10" fish. Most fish came off a 3" pumpkin/chart Slabmaster bait from Gdaddy (he has it named but i cant recall the name of the color right now) and a 1/8 ounce head. The fish were hammering the bait. Was no lite bite. All fish I cleaned tonight were still full of eggs. Water temp was 69-70.
Glad to here LCB crappie are gaining some weight! Not that I get to fish it enough! Need to get over there soon!

CP, over the last few years LCB has been producing more and more 12-14" fish. Not near as many fish taken out of the lake this year as there was a couple years ago so hopefully that continues over the next several years. Reports from the fish house is that it is still slow from it and the bank. You better let me know if you plan on heading this way so i can try and meet you out there or plan it on my day off and we can take my boat. Save you from pulling yours.
Fished LCB for 4 hours today with a buddy. We did pretty good catching 60+ fish but only keeping around 30. Water temp starting out was 65 but warmed up to 70 on main lake and 72 in coves. Fished structure in 18' on main lake and found them in coves in 7-10 foot of water. Black/chart beaver bottom baits, slabmasters from gdaddy and 2.5" Mikes in blk/chart and silver/pink. Still a lot of small fish but was able keep a lot of 11" fish with big fish at 13". Seen a few other boats up in the coves fishing shallow with not much luck. Maybe they will move up closer to the banks over the next couple days. Fish house reports are that its slow. Fish caught are small and a few saugeye are being caught there. This is just what I have heard from a few guys who have been hitting it pretty hard. I have not been fishing the fish house. Gonna hit it again this evening for a few hours. See if they are still hungry. PWC and rec boat traffic is beginning to pick up and its only going to get worse as we get closer to summer. Lake store by fish house is also open. They are carrying minnows and a small selection of baits. Not real sure of their hours yet but will find out.
