I cannot see them opening up all the gates due to the downstream water levels. They probably won't let them open anything until Keystone starts dropping. Looks like we are gonna get a break from the rain for a week or so.
Kaw is being held back to let the Salt Fork and its tributaries drain to alleviate flooding in the western part of the state.

Wheat harvest is weeks away. Flooding would result in devestating losses to farmers.
Some have already lost their wheat fields.
    Yours truly included.

Looks like we are gonna level out around 1041 ft. It's bad but could have been a lot worse. Hopefully you can salvage some of your wheat

There are a few people that's using the old ramp at Pioneer. Other than that, all are closed. A lot of debris on the lake floating around because there's no water moving.

Default 2015 Kaw Lake CRAPPIE Report

Saw the debris on a drive across the dam yesterday.
Thinking about getting on the water with a tub of worms and seeing what's working the shallow areas

We caught a lot of big blues up in the river when the lake started coming up. Done well in the flooded willows but mainly channel cat 3 to 6 lbs.
