The bait shop by the dam isn't open on Sundays, and I don't think they opened until around 9am during the week. The Carryout and bait shop up around the corner on Mechanicsburg road is open 7 days, but doesn't open until 8am during the week.

Got out for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon, water temps 48-52. I would have stayed longer but boat issues got in the way ... Sadly off to the repair shop! Once again a reminder a boat is a hole in the water into which you throw money!!

I know...I was going out, but Doc's son (Larry), rebuilt my house furnace for me....dang thing wouldn't start up after you went to bed, I'd wake up and it would be freezing...now it's heating like new...just in time for summer!

So how'd you do in the short-time you fished?

Talked with several persons at the Park and apparently no one was seriously interested in the Marina Concession. The State will operate a minimum bait shop and they are probably going to have vending machines rather than operate the resteraunt. Would assume they will sell at least gas, am not certain if they will lease slips...

    Wonderful!
The State can only blame itself for the idiotic Management and rules they placed on past owners... with adding more and more responsibilities to the contract, poor upkeep, restrictions, wanting more money each year from the people who wanted to make the business work, etc., etc., it was going downhill anyway....Greed finally got the best of the Park Managers and now we don't have a decent place to eat at the lake....utterly amazing!

I sat in the restaurant a couple years back when Mrs Crabbs was there, the weather was not cooperating and business was down early...the Fat idiotic Park Manager was in there cussing and just busting her chops....he wanted his FREE food, but kept telling her that she needed to come up with more money for the next year, because the potential was there for her to do better than what she was doing. She was telling him all the stuff that needed fixing, like coolers, the grill, restrooms, etc, and what she was spending money on just so she could be open and serve food...that butt-wipe kept telling her to worry about paying the State the percentage that she owed!
HOW I MISS THOSE CRABBY PATTIES!lol

they apparently are willing to GIVE it to anyone interested for 2 years for NO commission... am still looking for a "silent partner". KNOW Mike and Kathy made $48,000 PROFIT their best year while worked for them. run correctly could make some money the 2cnd year and afterwards...

Heck, I started out strong during the Warm Spells in the Middle of March...have 26 Gators on Ice and a couple Bags of Crappie. Did well with Pink front and Orange tailed Keitech's again. Solid Chartreuse or White for Crappie. EVERYTHING was shallow.
Gonna be interesting how the colors change!
WATER IS IN GREAT SHAPE! The cool-down may help the spawns, if they hold off till Summer pool time, the WB can get in the creek along with some other spawners.
Now with Winter Back, I haven't been out for almost 3 weeks!
Hopefully by the time it warms up again the Walleye will all be healed from the Spawns and gorging...they normally take 2-3 weeks to heal!

WALLEYE NETS WERE OUT THIS YEAR AT CJ....don't know what happened to the Maumee catch for eggs?

Water temp has dropped from 60 degrees to the mid 40's...AGAIN!
