Got it fixed. Got some replacement parts that came pre-assembled in the form of a new one. Still can't give up on the old one but gotta wait till it cools off to do anything with it. I removed the spark arrestor completely and tried it. No luck. When I start back on it, imma gonna check compression and cylinder inspection then tear down and start over from ground up. Did buy some red fuel for the new one. High dolla but so is new ones and aggravation.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Pull unit apart and look at the key that positions flywheel on the crank. I have seen a key slot that sheared or partially sheared and that changes timing of flywheel to the crank. You may have fuel and fire but the unit will not start or run properly.

Way to go Pops. That is a really good suggestion .Have had several Briggs n Straton lawnmowers shear keys usually after trying to mow a rock or stump and the abrupt stop shears the key.You may have just resolved the issue...My hat is off to you......

Hey Wannabe,Do you have a flywheel puller?????

Us normal folks don't need a weed eater, we could just ugly them down. Not WB, he can't do that, there wouldn't even be any dirt left. ........
