I have a solution for when I get too old to take care of myself. I will not have to worry about my family having to spend a dime. I am going to go to the bank, rob it, then sit right out there on the steps and wait for the cops to pick me up. Going to plead guilty and ask for a speedy trial. Then they will send me to the geriatrics unit of the Federal Prison. I will have all the food I want and meds and better treatment than the Nursing home and my family can still visit me on visitation days. Cost to me or my Family? ZERO lol

    Default Death Penalty

I use to be in law inforcement, and know some of these low lifes that feed off others that have done nothing to them.
You can't change these low life thugs, our system can't protect the people from them, the system can't afford to keep them, so they let them out again and again to feed off the people.
I say YES, do society a favor and put them to death, by the cheapest way
    possible, a firing squad.
They had a choice like you and me, are they chose to be an animal and prey on lawful people.

My thoughts exactly. Anyone on death row over a week has overstayed their limit in my book.

I never had understood the efforts made not to infringe on the rights of those who committed crimes, I was always under the impression that once you have been proven guilty you have no more rights!!!

I personally think they should hang them in the courtyard of the county seat 24 hour after conviction of by a jury of their peers. Maybe people would stop and think before bringing harm to another person after seeing what happens. And that is all I have to say about that.

Reminds me of the movie "Going in Style" with George Burns.

I think I'd like to add that NC is in the top 5 states I'll never revisit based solely on their "Justice" system. Followed closely by SC who has made the news too frequently for nut job cops. I'm content to hop on a plane and fly right over places like that on my way to Disney.
Nobody from Duke was convicted in reference to Nifong - in fact all charges was dropped before it ever went to trial

I think if you go into any state you will find less than desirable folks in law enforcement - sorry for any bad experience you may have had but to judge the entire state from this is example is unfair and just plain wrong

hope things go better for you in the future

I have heard a lot lately about people opposing the Death Penalty stating it is cruel and unusual punishment. My question is how can people even think this. These offenders are on Death Row for a reason. Most are convicted of such heinous crimes that we can not even bare to speak of. Texas uses the most humane methods to execute these men and women so that they never feel a thing, and people are condemning the State of Texas as well as other States who have the Death Penalty for being inhumane. Some may say, What if they were wrongly convicted? With the DNA today, that happening is not likely. The ones opposing the Death Penalty wish for life without parole instead. My question is, Did these men and women on death row ask their Victims what they wanted? Were their Victims given the choice? The last time I checked, it cost approx. $45.00 per day, per offender in TDCJ (Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice), so lets do some math. Lets say a 20 year old murders a whole family and instead of the death penalty, the Courts are lenient and give him life without parole. If he lives to the average age of approx. 65 years old, it will cost the State of Texas, or should I say me and you, $739,125.00
The T.L. Roach Unit in Childress, Texas houses over 1300 offenders. That alone is a cost of $58,500.00 a day and $21,352,500.00 a year. So now that you have seen our average cost per day and year, what is your opinion on the death penalty?
The cost per offender is the cost of Employees of TDCJ, food, clothing, electricity, etc. all added up and divided up per offender. That is where the average cost per day comes from.

Theres two many appeals. It takes years of appeals. Three months after they are found guilty I say Kill the slim bags. If they used a gun they get the firing squad. Hang them high or I would like them to use the guilatene.
