    Default Record White Crappie

I know this group is on top of things, so this is not brand new info for most. IMO, the new record will take longer to break. Good luck everyone, at least we can keep trying whether we get that elusive giant or not (provided the new record becomes official):D!

    Last paragraph:

Brown, fishing with Lewis Johnson of Charlotte, caught the crappie on a live minnow in Waverly Swim and Tennis Club's lake on Albemarle Road. It was weighed on certified scales at Perry's Market on Wilgrove-Mint Hill Road.

Minnow was the bait. That is 1 nice looking wall picture to me :D

i knew someone gonna break it, but i thought it was going to be me. I know its white crappie, but to me its looks like a black crappie. I have one look just like that hanging on my wall at 2.7lbs.

That won't be broke for several years
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Nat, just to clarify, that's not a stringer of 20 fish, it is a single fish!
