I've been on the phone with Humminbird while in the boat. Several weeks ago I downloaded and saved to my computer the owner's manual. I put a copy on a thumb drive and took it down to my local Fedex office and printed it out. I keep the owner's manual on the boat with me at all times. The contact number in the manual is: 800-633-1468. Hours are M-F 8:00-4:40 CST.

An interesting observation I saw when looking at the screenshots yesterday. You will notice that the water temperature in the screenshots are at 54, which is the surface temp at the transducer. I looked at the Army Corps reading for Saturday and found the temp at 62. I think this reading is taken at 7' or 9' below the surface. I was surprised that there is an eight degree difference in the water temperatures at so close a level, but this would explain why the shad are still high up in the water column. The cool water temps will drop with time, but it is something to remember for next Autumn when you are fishing.

Jordanlimit I would love to pick your brain about crappie fishing, you have me thinking about things I have never even contemplated before. I hope to run into on the water one of these days.

Look for the big Targa out there with two of the nicest fellas you could ever meet, and you most likely have found Jordanlimit and Hunter.

These shots are not dialed in just right yet. We've got to adjust the angle of the transducer and then work with all the settings. I keep the manual in a computer bag on the floorboard under the steering wheel. As with all computer technology, it's one step at a time!!
