I haven't checked lately, but it used to be that UNC had the highest graduation rate in the ACC. I believe Dean Smith finished his tenure with 99% of all basketball players getting degrees. My understanding is that Roy is the same way..... if you don't put education first he will kick you off the team in a heart beat.

Hmmmm.... Turns out there is a slew of articles out there talking about Carolina having one of the highest basketball grad rates in the country.

I went to school with and knew a great many of the players on the '93 national championship team. Every one of them studied their butts off and knew that just one mistake could get them booted off the team. Sorry JigJ, but whether you pull for them or not they have a 'class act' program from top to bottom. I hate Duke with a passion, but I can still respect their program and accomplishments...... after all they did finally get a player in the NBA!

You ACC boogers will figure out they did get in when they dump VATech.
Actually, they aren't very good on the the offensive end and will go down quietly. "I" will go home early, but at least "I" played.

as a die hard dukie, after this season i cant taut the devils a whole lot. but i guess its not all bad when a 23 and 10 season gives us a heart attack. but anyway, i can talk a little smack about the heels.

yalls grad rate is lousy the last few years. but i think roy will help that. the biggest flop in the nba in the past decade was joseph forte, who is struggling in the development league up here in asheville.

Crowder,i know that the Duke players are maikng more money in the NBA right now,but you don't want to really compare past players like Laettner to some of the past Carolina guys.I am all for the heels' but i repsect Duke and more so coach K,the guy is a proven winner.He runs a classy outfit that you never here any wrong doing in his recruiting or the way he handles his team.They are the 2 most dominant schools year in and year out the past 2 decades.It did baffle me when they said that Duke had the same amount of McDonald all-americans as the heels' do this year.You were right about Forte,he never has lived up to his billing,but the real shame is somebody as talented as Jason Williams screwed up his career the way he did.

puke puke puke. just because duke has dominated the acc for the last 10 years you never hear from a nc fan until they win a few games,then they are the greatest team in the country. i don't pull for nc because they have to the poorest fans in the country.
