Looking at the banks the river was a little high but the current wasn't that bad. We launched from Jamesville. They have a really nice wildlife ramp there.

Did you see many others caught? If not may want to move on up the river a ways. Fish are showing in Weldon and are strung down the river from there.

The ramp a Jamesville is set up nice. They built it in a little indention so the current is blocked. What I've heard Weldon can get pretty crowed. At Jamesville I don't think it's to bad.

To be honest we didn't see that many people there yesterday. The guy at the Roanoke sportsman in Williamston said they were catching them up river but he was getting good reports from down river as well. It seems like they were making runs up the river like Shad do.
