    14 hours of driving, slabs all around me so walleye can wait!

    So tell us MORE. What lake, what on, etc.
    It's not like we'll all come swarming up there.
    I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
    The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

    Great catch! Beautiful color on those fish. Must be that cold water that makes 'em that color.

    The story is that I come all this way to catch walleye and yellow perch and can't leave the crappie catching behind. The locals say minnows or a bare hook under a bobber is the only way to catch them, but I found a 1/16 oz chartreuse tube jig works just fine. They are thick and fight like a bass.

    Oh, and we're on Bowstring Lake, Northern Minnesota. Weather is nice so far, it's about 60 degrees this morning, with low humidity.
