like working man said, if ya ever forget to put the plug in, just open her wide open and the vaccum of the prop will pull most of the water out, once it goes up on plane most of the water will be gone. then you can hurry up and stick the plug in and let the bilge do the rest. I know from experience.

Good point. Used to do that with the Jon and the duracraft.
Can't reach it on my ranger. would be a good idea to have a plug that would fit on the inside of the hole, just incase on the ranger.

You stuck your head in the water? In January?

I once pulled the drain plug out of a 14-foot jon boat while the boat sat on a dock, examined the plug and then just tossed it into the lake. I have no idea why I did that.

I went out fishing with my dad one morning and forgot to put the plug in. That afternoon, I took my son in law and his buddy out...told the story of how I was such a dumb azz just that morning....and then proceeded to do exactly the same thing AGAIN! Twice in one day. That is a personal record. I hope to never do this again, but I ain't making any promises!!! Now we have a rule when putting the boat in...."Did you get the plug????" I never tire of hearing that question....getting old is getting old!!!!
I believe in catch and release.....right into the grease!!!!!

I've oft thought of getting small bumper stickers with "GOT PLUG?" or "PLUGGED?" for us fishermen to put on the tailgate of the truck. Or "PLUG?" would work
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish
