I bought two US Reel 180s within a year at Rogers in Liberty and both of them had a loud, rough retrieve after about the third/fourth time out. I fish from the bank, so obviously cast alot, but I just want a reel that I don't hear when I'm reeling in and stays consistent on the retrieve. I fish under a bobber alot and I don't know why that would matter, but they seem to have that problem alot more when under a bobber. I tried my best to maintain them, but never really broke them totally down and oiled them .. but I wouldn't think you'd have to do that in that short of time. Maybe it's something I'm doing wrong??

Thanks! I ordered a 6730 tonight. I don't mind fishing for crappie with a little heavier setup and really want to land the larger fish, if they should hit. My thinking was the 6730 was about perfect for that.

redranger & everyone else that has helped out .. thank you very much! I'm looking forward to trying it out!
