maybe look at a tica or a norsemen and or for the budget minded a proangler ,held an acc before , nothing special about it ,,,,just saying
    hello ketchn

after reading more on the ACC GS76SG, i don't think this is the rod i am after for throwing light 1 /16 oz jigs especially after watching this video ACC CRAPPIE STIX | Crappie Rod Review - YouTube if you watch from the 20 min mark to the end this guy feels like it is not up to par for lighter jigs. i feel i better look for something that will handle the 1/16 to 3/16 oz maybe will check out the Denali rods, you were right nothing special...or even the BnM sam heaton 7'2" i like the specs on the 7 1/2 ft one pc Denali spin rod. any thoughts

in these parts some of the better crappie anglers like the pro angler ,seems to have a good mix of things going on from what I hear .
price is reasonable ,back bone is good ,light and sensitive . held one a while back myself , seems like a good stick to me .
often times price is not the key to a good rod for whatever the purpose might be , I have a 7 foot Tica (discontinued model) and a Bonehead prototype they don't make for sale , a Shakespeare 7 foot and a Berkley Cherrywood 7 and possibly others in my garage .
The Tica is by far the fastest jig rod in ultralight in my arsenal , the Bonehead is by far the lightest with serious back bone in medium action .
The Berkley is good on back bone but not light in the hand , the Shakespeare is a mix of pretty good all around . Probably have a few others hanging around too , but the Tica and Bonehead get to ride in my truck frequently . The Tica will feel out about anything on the other end of the line ,but won't sling larger fish very well and the Bonehead will sling about any size crappie into the air .
the list though seems endless these days on 7 foot crappie rods and to be sure some are real expensive and some not so much ,beyond that some of it is just personal preference ,the ole ford /chevy thing you know ....
the term "light" jigs is also relative , I consider 1/16 on the heavy side most of the time .....just saying

One may look at the 7' Shakespeare Micro Series, you'll be able to buy 5 rods and in some cases 7 rods compared to the price of others and still be pleased with the performance and longevity of the rod...... Light, sensitive and don't hurt your pocket to buy.....

The 7 foot ones are fairly stiff

    Pro Angler Tackle Rods

    Interesting read about rod blanks.

I am slowly replacing my arsenal.
I have had way too many tip failures from my B&M' s.

I just happened upon a 7ft micro series. I was just looking for something cheap to last till pay day. I’ve never had any of the true top line rods, but honestly like this rod as much as anything I’ve ever owned. Really sensitive and pretty tough.

Shakespeare 7 footers are really good rods , Slung way high numbers with them lots of times in the past and the first one I bought is still quite able to sling fish many years later
