since i was asking about the gs76sg crappie stix, after deciding to shy away due to the tip area too stiff and most guys are telling me it won't handle 1/32oz jigs well, can anyone who has tried the gs66m is the tip area softer than the gs76sg, i am hoping possibly it may be sufficient for the 1/32oz jigs

Dang it Skeetbum now you got me wanting an 8' ACC for jigging. I own an 11' GS rear seat. I just can not make friends with it.

When you say double pole jigging. Are you talking about a pole in each hand. If so Have you ever stuck a pair of monsters at the time.... I learned my lesson the hard way....

If you will contact Andy Lehman at ACC crappie stix he is very good to respond to emails. He will let you know which rod he makes that will work best for they way you are fishing. If he doesn't have the rod in stock one of his dealers will probably have one and ship it to you.

Yes, it's cheap, it's tough, and it will cast a good distance. However, I find it WAY too wimpy when bringing in a fish. It's difficult to explain but big bream are good fighters and have a certain rhythm and pulse to their fight, and it's not that the rod will bend almost double, which many people equate to "a lot of fun." My complaint is that I find that this rod is THE worst in my suite of rods regarding the pulse of action that a large bream gives. It is not pleasurable, it's distracting. It's like the rod is out of sync with the fish's pulsing fight. I tried to find a 7.5ft one to try but could not.
Ya know, I don't very often use an Eagle Claw rod for the same reason. I suspect you could tie an overhand knot in one without breaking it. So I got that shakespear rod and reel for the rod and put the reel on an old eagle claw rod I've had around for years and really have never cared for! This should be good!
