If you are looking for size and not numbers, hard to beat pulling cranks. You won't fill the boat, but you usually won't throw any back because they are too small either. If I am pulling, I will have at least one of my pinks, one black, and one chrome on with a variety of others, but those are my go to colors.

don't know if it was mentioned but if I target BIG fish I have been known to pitch a bait made by Crazy Angler called a Crawlr ....my largest white and largest black both ate one at different times in different colors on different lakes ....stay tuned and I will post up the fish that ate them the other day , its a custom color Robert poured for me back when ...

I cast and retrieve 80% and vertical jig the other 20%. Retrieve varies depending on what they want. Here lately I just lift the rod enough to let the jig glide at a slow rate (no reel movement til jig stops) and they kill it. Several bites while jig is near motionless. Sometimes they want more movement, whether a steadily retrieve or a start-stop method.
