I'm like Crestliner. I have tried them all. For what you are wanting to do this is what I tried and really like it. Fishermans Factory outlet is the only place I have found it but I'm sure it can be found in heavier test. They run this on occasion.

I wanted to chime in here and let you know about Kastking Braid. You can get from EBay or Amazon. This is great line in my experience. I use it for trolling, jigging, freshwater and saltwater and it has not failed me yet! This is good line for the money. You should really try it out.

Slab- The power Pro Super 8 Slick is the best, if you buy the 1500' roll it is a great deal. Plus you do not have to change out, I cut back my braid a couple of feet, every year and keep going. I have some braid that is 7yrs old and still working without any problems.

I have a question to ask. Why do most tie on a fluor leader instead of just tieing directly onto rhe braid?
In very clear water it can help. Dirty or stained I tie straight on. Flourocarbon also has better abrasion resistance if fishing nasty stuff.
