    I always do best in 20-30 feet of water and fish 1/2 way down. I have 2 homemade submersible lights that I sink at either end of the boat. I have always caught more fish when I have a light shining out on the water. I use a domed clip on light with a DC bulb. I aim it at my rod tips so I can see a hit. I have friends that use lanterns on top of the motor with good success. Good Luck!

    I use both, lantern and green lights with success. Although I haven't ever tried it out in the middle of the lake, normally around some sort of structure woks best for us

Size:  15.1 KBfinally went last night we got on the water around 7 pm catching some good ones before dark then once it got dark really slowed down wind picked up could not keep the boat still ,, we fished till around midnight ended up keeping around 12 caught a total of 21 not 2 bad we had a great time here is a few pics of some we had in the cooler early in the night , hydro glo lights are the best

    q-beams work great! Academy sells 'em for around $13. They always out produce the green lights in my boat (I use both colors).
