    Ditto.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

Water Temperature, depth and wind have everthing to due with jig size and fish activity. The more real the jig looks the better you will do. Early in the season bait fish tend to be smaller and as water heats up large bait fish are more plentiful to hungry crappie. I tend to use much smaller baits and weights in colder water and as the water heats up I tend to use more weight taking wind and depth into consideration. If I am throwing a cork into the shallows I almost always use 1/32 as it tends to fall slower giving more time for a strike. If I am spider rigging in a shalow lake I will use 1/32 to 1/16. When I fish deeper water or experience wind in spider rigging I use 1/16 and 1/8 and sometimes add more weight to the line to see strikes from finiky fish. Hope this helps and any other comments are welcome.

I voted for 1/64th because I do the majority of my crappie fishing in the Fall when the water is colder...but in reality, I'm usually using a 1/124th oz. jig under a float; unless, I'm feeding a feeder ditch or creek, then I go without the float and just watch my line.

I'm using a 5' super ultralite graphite rod and the reel is loaded with 2lb. test Berkley XL clear.

Most people will laugh at me but I have alot of good luck on bigger fish with smaller jigs because of the slow fall in the water. Alot of times they will hit it on the downfall. 1/64 will pick up smaller fish too but when the fish are really light biting I can catch some monsters only drawback is the hook set sometimes I lose some fish.

I prefer TeeZur Jigs 3/32nd Ounce Jighead. This is a good all around weight. If the wind is blowing bad, I may switch to 1/8oz, my go to is the 3/32nd oz

Usually 1/16th, though 1/32nd is a close second. I like 1/16th because it balances out a lot of the floats I use with no extra weight required. If I need to get down quicker, I'll just add a split shot.
    Don't worry, catch crappie.
