We have big crappie down here. I usually fish a double rig setup. My bottom jig is always a 1/16th. My top dropper jig is a 1/32nd or sometimes a 1/64th

1/16 is my first go to jig size--but in certain conditions ---I will change.

How's it going : One foot in the grave, one foot on a banana peel, twenty people pushing !!!
I used to use 1/16 OR 1/8 oz., until I was introduced to 3/32 oz. They are made by crappie.com member, (lightwirehooker) they have (as his name indicates) a light wire hook which enables you to pull the jig free if you should hang up on the wood. It saves tackle & time. He has an assortment of colors & even better you never have to clean the hook's eyes, & before you ask, no they don't straighten out when you catch a lunker.
:D WILL FISH FOR FOOD OR MONEY
1/32
I like a 1/16 most of the time but if I want to rig a double jig set i'll switch to a 1/32 alot of the time.
Started using 3/32 this year and love them. You can fish them in shallow or deep. Will be what I buy til something better comes along.
I like to use 1/8 out in open water and 1/16 under docks and in brush piles
I use 1/16,1/8,1/4....For Salt and Fresh.
1/16 and 1/32 are my go to's. however, i am dying to try some 3/32.
