    Default Disc grinder

    Another potentially severe hazard with using a grinder to cut lead or other soft metals such as aluminum is that rather than being slung away, a lot of the cuttings build up in the grinder disc and can make it explode, in a sense, creating shrapnel flying into your body or a bystander. I've seem some pretty gruesome photos of this very thing in some safety films at work.---Pooch

    You can turn the blade around backwards on a skill saw. Carbon tip blades work best. This will work on all soft metals. Good Luck.
