    Default lead problem

I have several sheets of lead that are about 1/2 to 3/8in and i need to cut them to put in my pot to melt them down and make me some weights. I tried a hacksaw and jig saw with no luck. What yall think i need to do to cut it.

Chisel and a hammer, dense block of wood to lay it on , that should do it! That's what I would try anyway.

There are two things to aim for in life: First, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieves the second. Author unknown, but I like it!

you could also try a small disk grinder with a cutoff wheel
I release all my fish... just before my fingers touch the grease.

I wouldn't think using a disc grinder on lead would be real healthy, as you could easily inhale some toxic dust.

Hey Josh, wear some good gloves too. You can absorb the lead too and it's no good for you Stays in you forever I understand. Are you related to a fellar called "Duke"? (Marion)

No relation to the duke. I do use gloves. A buddy of mine worked offshore going destruction jobs and he got let poisoning for burning lead paint while cutting metal on an old offshore rig. He said it left like he had the flu for 2 weeks and the lead never leaves the body.
